chapter 04 - simiple calculus

"That's hot." I looked at the bright green mini skirt Kare was pointing at.

"If I were a hooker."

"Which you are."

"Which you wish."

"Which I do."

"Which I know."

"Which shut the fuck up."

"What about this?" I picked up a floral tank top.

"Yay, oh I do love you in clown vomit floral print!"

"And I love you dead." Kare pointed at a pair of black snake skin heels and we both rushed over.

"Hazah! Size nine! Mine mine mine hooookaaaah!" I pouted. I was a size seven. Kare always got the good things at the thrift stores. I went over to the belts and put a thick pink and red striped belt around my waist, it squeezed it together attractively.

"Kare! You like?!" I yelled across the store. She poked her head up, a gray beanie on her white blond head now, and nodded excitedly.

"Wow, yeah! You don't look fat anymore!" And she gave me a thumbs up. I happily stuck it in my shopping bag.

"She's right, it does make you look less fat." A deep voice drawled behind me. I whirled around, but less whirly-like, and immediately frowned.

"Ew, why aren't you dead yet?" It was blondy...again. Looking blonder than ever.

"Christ did you dye your hair or something gay like that? It's like white." He scowled here and I couldn't keep the grin off my face. Obviously he had a hair job gone bad and was very sore about it. Teehee.

"Fuck you my sister did it."

"Aha, what, while you were sleeping or something?" His frown deepened and my grin was the complete opposite of it.

"Yeah, I paid for it with money I got for sleeping with you." Oh ouch, but not.

"You PAID for that? Wow you ARE an idiot. Well, I must be-"

"Hi, I'm Kare. You must be the one night stander. You're better looking than she described; she really didn't do you any justice. Plus she said you wore an eye patch and had a limp and a bald spot." I didn't at all but Kare is a bitch, but in the best ways possible, as in, she's always on my side deep down...I think.

"I'm Evan. I guess that was a compliment."

"Oh no, it wasn't." Kare said shaking his hand.

"Have you met my friend Olivia?" Kare said pointing to me.

"I mean, I know you've had hot hot drunky sexy but, like, do you know her name and her birthday and that she's deathly afraid of large bodies of water?" Evan smiled a little, but in an evil way.

"Nope." He was almost happy about getting to say that. I scowled, I don't know why. Probably because I frown when he smiles and he frowns when I smile. Yeah, that's why. It's simple Calculus.

"Well this is Olivia, she's a Cancer so watch for those wicked mood swings. She doesn't like you. You can tell by the way she's standing behind me and giving you dirty looks over my shoulder." I was sticking my tongue out at him as she said this.

"Yeah, I figured. So what are you girls doing tonight."

"Not you!" I threw in childishly.

"We don't know yet. Probably Veecos because it sucks bad and we like to bitch about it. And you?"

"My roommate and I are throwing a party. If you want to come I can give you the address." He said in monotone.

"No, we don't want to come!" I yelled over Kare's shoulder.

"Yeah sure, gives us some options." Evan smiled and grabbed Kare's hand and a pen off the cashier's desk and then wrote his number down on her palm.

"Call me if you want to show up and I can give you directions then."

"Cool cool. Well, later then kiddo."

"Yup, later."

"We're not coming!" I yelled as Kare pulled me away towards the hats. Evan winked at me and then went on his merry fucking way.
