That evening Sam got home before Liam, as sometimes she did. She made to go straight upstairs to visit with Levii but two voices from the kitchen stopped her. It was June and a male voice. Once standing at the kitchen entrance, unnoticed, she examined the tall broad shouldered man leaning against the counter opposite June. He was facing Sam but seemed to be so into whatever the little red head was saying that he was blind to anything else. The man had a very nice face, could pass off as a pretty boy if it wasn't so angular. He had a long thin sloped nose and two cat shaped eyes that seemed to be always narrowed though not unpleasantly. He had thin lips and muddy blonde hair that hung in long whisps by his face. His shape insinuated that the man was an athlete of some type, long muscular arms and legs. Just as she was beginning to notice something familiar about the boy he caught eyes with her, the color reminded her of caramel. June spun around then too, wondering what had taken the attention from her, and smiled almost immediately.
"Gray! I was just talking about you!" Sam was curious as to why but couldn't ask because June was suddenly pulling her towards the semi-intimidating man. He half grinned down at her in a sort of all knowing way.
"Gray, this is Ben, my oldest brother." Samantha blinked. Another Track? Good Lord.
"He usually comes lives with us during the Summer but decided on coming around earlier this year for some reason that I'm sure has to do with his fiendish girlfriend."
"Ex-girlfriend." Ben corrected, smiling charmingly down at Sam, who only blinked.
"Pleasure to meet you. June won't shut up about you."
"Oh?" She asked finally. Ben took her much smaller hand then to shake it but ended up just holding it; she suprisingly didn't mind the contact.
"Yes, she says you were made for Liam. Though honestly, you don't seem his type, and I do mean that in a flattering way." Sam could only stare.
"Um, well, I-I...um..." He was just about to speak again when someone else beat him to it.
"Ben?" All turned to see Liam in the doorway of the kitchen, looking confused and a bit angry.
"What are you doing here?" Ben finally let go of Sam's hand and practically leaped towards his younger brother.
"Just the sort of welcome I expected from you, you nazi." Ben laughed as he bear hugged Liam. Samantha gazed on at the genetically gifted brothers and vaguely wondered what their parents looked like.
"We weren't expecting you." Liam said, a bit nervously Samantha noticed.
"Yes well, had a bit of a problem with my living arrangements and I decided to come visit a little early."
"Well that's great but I'm afraid your room is currently being rented out...for free actually." Ben quirked a brow.
"Are you throwing me out or trying to tell me I have to share a room, dear brother." June interfered here.
"Of course he's not throwing you out silly. Gray here's staying with us though because she's having troubles with her current living arrangements too. So maybe you can sleep on the couch until we can get you one of those matresses that pop or something." Ben smiled adoringly down at June...Samantha noted she'd never been looked at in such a way.
"You are so sheltered dear little one. The couch is fine, I'll manage I'm sure." He winked over at Samantha quickly before clapping his hands together and inhaling deeply.
"So you're staying then?" Liam didn't sound too excited.
"Yes. Now why you tell me more of this Percy I keep hearing so much about." He had a cheshire cat grin on his mouth and Sam couldn't help but feel like she was privy to some inside joke because she knew June had not said anything nice about the vuluptuous blonde.
"Gray and I will make dinner then." And then Sam was being pushed onto a stool and passed a blue and white checkered apron.
"You'll need this, we're making pie."
